hey!!!!!!! so on the weight loss front i'm holding in at around 240...............people have brought so much food into our room where I work its so hard to avoid it...............still haven't been able to find my niche with exercise :(. hey!!!!!!!! so my weight is staying around 240. I still need to get on a better workout regimen. any ideas? eating wise i have been doing better than what i was i do not bring home bags of candy or anything like that. I just need to get on a routine and stick to it. I think i'm going to start by not stopping at dunkin donuts to get something to drink in the mornings because that leads to me getting other food. I'm going to stick to maple and brown sugar oatmeal for breakfast and probably a turkey sandwich with light mayo for lunch. How is everyone's week? This holiday challenge i did horrible with, but the next challenge i join i'm going to lose as much as possible. I'd love to be at the 220's by 1/6/11 i don't see that happening so i'll settle for like low-middle 230's. 1/6 is my next dr appt

i'm so happy!!!!!! i've been sticking to working out even though I don't really like it. I need to to be able to get the body i want and get healthy and gain confidence..........It's weird even though i still am big i still think relationships and stuff for me doesnt' happen because of my size......but it sounds like from talking with friends and family its more of a confidence issue.........so I gotta try to improve on that but don't really know how. On the weight loss front i was at 239.8 today which is a loss of like 8-9 pounds since last thursday....hopefully that will continue........the band is definitely helping

hey........................so this fill is deffinatly helping.............i just gotta be careful on how fast i eat because since thursday i've thrown up 3 times, but that is a lot less than when i was at this fill level before last thursday i was around 248 area today i'm at 241.8 already so the weight is coming off and i've been exercising hoping i can get in a routine i wanna get to 195 by may.....think it can happen??? It's amazing how much i can't eat which is a good thing

i'm back on track!!!!!!!!! i've lost 4 pounds since thursday!!!!!! :) now I just need to stick to an exercise routine. Before surgery I did great but since surgery it's been really tough to get on it and stay on it...........i just have to my goal is to lose another 45 pounds before the WLSFA's meet and greet in vegas during the month of may..........It feels so good to have more restriction. I have thrown up twice since thursday, but i think that is my own fault.........and its better than last time i was struggling where it was every day almost and usually 2-3 times a day............i don't know why i couldn't handle 6.5 cc then, but I can now.....but hey i'll take it.

Alright............went to the dr's...............he was saying how i'd be 300 pounds again before i know it.......he gave me .5 cc fill where i was having trouble with it last time.........i really wanted .25 cc but i didn't dare ask him for it........we will see how round 2 goes with this fill i wanna lose like 55 pounds before may 13 when i got the vegas meet and greet for wlsfa.............i'm going to try working out in the morning again.

Ok! So I'm finally starting to get back on track.........i'm nervous for my appt tomorrow as it will show prob a 15-20 pound gain in like 6 weeks...................wow not good. I think i hit a plateau :( even though its only been a few days my weight seems to be holding between 231-233. I think this is because, before i got .5 cc taken out i wasn't eating enough and now i'm hungary between meals and I think i need a little fill maybe .2-.3 at my next appt. I managed to so far still avoid candy like resses and I've been exercising again so hopefully the scale will move. It's just frustrating because i wanna stay and remain in the 220's and below and its just hard to get there. So i didn't make it to the new year without any candy i'm just going to try and be careful.

hey!!!!!!! its almost halloween!!!!! any fun plans??????? so i've decided to make a commintment to myself..........i know its going to be exremely tough but from now and i'd like it to be atleast to the new year i'm not going to eat any chips or any candy like resses and kit kats. So, alittle bit of news.......on thursday i went to my band appt and they removed half a cc........it feels so much better I can eat about half of something and thats it....for those of you don't know i only have one eye......after my bariatric appt i went to my retina specialist. I've been having times where my vision goes away for like 10 sec then comes back. During that time I see black or a flash of lighting. The dr said my retina looks stable but i needed to see a neurologist or neuro opthamologist and that he was sending me to the er.....he said he thinks he knew what it was but didn't say what.......Of course during this time i'm thinking tumor. I got to the er and saw a neurologist who did all sorts of testing......they also did a brain mri....they said it looked normal they gave me 2 options either try to schedule appts as outpatient or stay overnight as inpatient. I decided to stay as inpatient because with one eye and not knowing what it was being an inpatient would give me an anwser sooner. The next day they did an ultrasound of the coroted artery and an echo cardiogram. I also saw a neuro opthamologist. The testing came back negative. They think what i'm having is Visual headaches. They were gonna try propholaxis but couldn't gurantee it would help. I chose to hold off for now.

so.......i have my appt tomorrow. i've been staying on liquids like the nurse said.....i took some medicine and its not available in chewables or liquid so i have to swallow them and i don't know if thats what did it, but around an hour later....i vommited........i'm hoping i don't have a slipped band. It just seems like the band is tighter now than it was before. He'll probabaly send me for a barium swallow or endoscopy, Which would make me happy that way i know the band is alright....i'm hoping just a small unfill will help. Does anyone every have a fill and all of a sudden it seems tighter than normal most of the time?

so I emailed the receptionist in my dr's office trying to see if i can in before next thrusday.....i deff feel like i need a small unfill.............6 was to easy and 6.5 seems more than enough. is that possible???? I feel like I tried to be slow chewing on my eating.......and its not working......I don't think there's errosion since its too tight i'm hoping he does a swallow but not a endoscopy.......i'm just sick of vommiting all the tiem..i've tried warm stuff and i thought it helped but apparently not :(....................well how is everyones day going?.........so the nurse called me i'm going on liquids untiill thursday :( but they are getting me in on thurday at 1 a whole week early so that'll be cool their so nice hopefullly i don't get reprimanded for waiting on this for so long.

so.......10/28 is my next dr's appt i think i'm gonna try to convince him to take .25 cc out because i'm having to much trouble trying to keep food and liquid down especially in the morning and early afternoon........sometimes i vomit 2-3 times a day and sometimes 1 and sometimes none......i think its just how fast i drink or eat and i try to eat or drink slower but still having trouble any ideas?? he may want to do endoscopy but i'm still having restriction so i don't think its eroded......its strange at night i could eat a huge sandwich if i wanted with no problem but during the morning and early afternoon nope.......I think just need to really focus on how much i'm drinking or eating at once............i'm gonna try that and see if it gets better before i go to the surgeon.....does anyone have problems with salad at all?

Sol...........................i weighed in at 231 this morning which means starting with my first dr's appt in november of 08 i'm down 100 pounds.........lets hope the scale stays theres overall i've probably lost more like 130 pounds, it feels good to be successful.....i got back on the exercise last night i only did 15 min on the bike, but it tells me how out of shape i am cuz i thought it was going to kill me

So I find duriing weight loss i've been often asking myself why am I doing this??? What are you reasons? Half of me always says to be healthier.....the other half says because I want to become more attractive and have better luck with the ladies. Also theres a risk of heart disease from my dad's side so I want to be healthier because of that and it will decrease my chances of having something happen. its rainy up here in vermont today :(...............................So i'm trying to muster up energy and motivation to work out tonight.........even if its just for 15 min its better than nothing........my scale creeped up alittle bit to 233.0 but i belive its just because i've been eating alitle bit more lately. In good news my vommiting has been very minimal the past few days...... yestarday was like maybw 2 or 3 times but thats my fault for eating or drinking to fast but theres been days where none at all so that makes me happy and I hope i can continue on that route...........only about 70 more pounds to go till i'm hopefully at what will be my goal weight i'd love to be below 200 before christmas.

Happy Wednsday!!! we can either make good choices or bad choices................so today i weighed in at 232.8!!!!! so from when my surgeons office first weighed m3 i was 331 so thats almost 100 pounds down. I really weighed more than that before i went to my surgeon, but thats just what they had me at...................So I noticiied when i take my time eating and drinking even if it takes me forever I have less problems with vommiting......but on certain foods like french frys and hot dogs. I have issues. Also I seem to have more issues in the morning, but i'm hoping i'll improve i finally gotta settle into my own as in my previous post its not normal to vomit 3 times a day. I think i just truly eat and drink to fast. On a good note i'm hoping my sickness is going away. I'm having trouble breathing so i'm getting a prescription called in tonight and gotta pick that up as i leave work...........i quit my second job. I decided it was time......i just don't feel as great and i've been feeling run down.......hopefully when I kick this cold I'll be able to really focus on working out and the weight will drop even quicker. so...... I went to my pcp yestarday. I had a low grade fever my bp was 98/45 and he put me on antibiotics for bronchitis. Hopefully i start doing better and not feeling so run down. I told him didn't think the vommiting with my band was due to erroision or slippage because i didn't have any pain and i said i think it is a result of me not eating or drinking appropriately and i told him its been bad for like a month or 2.............so enough about me how is everyone?

Hey! so my weight is now at 235.0!!! The one thing thats been happening since my last fill is i've been vommiting quite a bit sometimes 2-3 times daily. My last filled was about 2 months ago! I don't think my band has slipped because i'm still restricted and I don't think I have errosion because i'm not having any pain. I think alot of it is just be taking to long to figure out when i can or can't eat. I have to go to the dr's today because i've been feeling worn out and sometimes running a fever :(...................Sounds like everyone had a great time in chicago which is great!

Hey! hey!!!!!!!! so my latest dr's appt went well i lost like 15 pounds in the last month. he knocked on the door and opened it and the first words out of his mouth was dammmmmmmmn i'm not touching it. He was happy. I have to go back in 2 months. My most recent weight at the office was 244.8 but i've been weight around 242 243. My goals to get down to maybe 225 or lower before i go back in a few months. Which means I have to up the exercise, which i have totally been lacking. I started a second job in addition to my current job. In addition to my hospital job i now work at kmart. We get some interesting people and the pay's not great but its a job just for alittle extra money. I gotta kick up the workouts and stay off the junk...............Have a great weekend!

ummmmmmm wow! My new low is around 245! I 'm happy and for the most part everything has been going really well, however for awhile I think I was battling dehydration and malnutrition. Then the drinking got easier so now i'm working on nutrition. I think what it is even though I've had my fill for almost a month I was pb ing and vommiting alot I think i'm finally used to smaller portion sizes and how much I can drink or eat at once. Yay!!!!!!! so for the past few weeks I just was sad and at sometimes depressed. I'm going better now....I fell off the wagon for a few weeks. I'm back on it now eating right and exercising again......i just need to stay on it. Its hard because people tell me do this for you and you have to love yourself and i'm just not used to hearing that........i've lost about 4-5 pounds that i had gained already......i put on like 8-10 pounds. I'm going to have a fill next wed so i'm happy about that. My endoscopy went find and everything looked good. How is everyone doing?

Hey! So I did it................................I signed up for my first 5k.........i'm going to walk it. I would run, but i'm visually impaired and i've always been told running isin't good for the eye that I have left. The past few weeks have been tough. I've just been feeling down and haven't done nothing and make unhealthy decisions. I need to learn to do this for me. I've been obsessive with texing and emailing and facebooking my friends too much. I've done this because i've felt alone. I need to stick to this and finish what i started once i stick to a regular regimen the weight will fly right off. On a good note I had my endoscopy yestarday and the doc said everything is good! So I will be going into the office later this month to hopefully get a fill. As the restriction I feel is not at my sweet spot yet. How has everyone been?

hey! i had an appt with my surgeon yesterday! I asked for a fill and he said you already at 6. He wants to do an endoscopy to fine out if the band has eroded or not. What causes band erosion? could it be from something I've done. In alittle over a month i'm down 8.4 pounds from when he last saw me so that is a bonus.

I was kind of impressed with myself yesterday! I worked 9-9 and got out of work and went home and did 30 min on the exercise bike. I so didn't want to...............but once I was down there and got on the bike it wasn't that hard. My goal that i've made is to workout every day untill my next dr's appt on june 11th. It will be tough, but I think it's possible. How much cardio do you usually do a day and how many times a week?

Hey I had a fill a couple weeks ago and I had more restriction then than I do now? Is this normal? My weight is weird because it fluctuates and I can stay at the same weight for a bunch of days then all of a sudden drop 3 pounds. Hope everyone is having a good week.

Why are there times that I feel like so many people that I know have someone except for me? It raises questions to me that I ask myself like am I worth it? don't I deserve to be happy? It's weird, how being picked on when I was younger for only having one eye and now even when I'm older (25) it still affects me. People notice I don't have the confidence. Even though I try to show confidence people somehow notice. Even if I don't recognize that I don't have confidence. I don't know how to gain the confidence. I guess its because I've never had the social interaction really in my life that other people have had or haven't experienced things that others have had. I'm hoping loosing more weight will make me more attractive and desirable. On the weight loss front I am down about another 4 pounds in the 253-254 area.

Yay Me! So i about 1-2 weeks i have lost betweent 7 and 8 pounds!!!!!! I'm lifting weights mon,wed,fri and doing cardio 5-7 days a week! It feels good being able to stick something. I have more restriction with my recent fill! My most recent weight today was 257.6 i'm hoping i get in to the 240's by 6/11 which is my next appt. That would be my lowest weight in like 9 or 10 years!!!. How much cardio do you do every day?

Hey! So i got my fill thursday! and the first few days it seemed like I had good restriction. Today howver it doesn't seem that way as much. Any ideas? I'm excited though because if the scale was right i lost about 5 pounds this past week. Time to update the ticker! It seems like when i eat salad i get fuller sooner sometimes. Why is that?

Hey! So today 5/13/10 i got another fill! I now have 6cc in my band. I was at 6 before, but was too tight and they took someone else. Today they put me back up to 6. I don't know why. I hope I can tolerate it better this time. Any advice is welcomed! My trainer Ally came over last night and we did some weights. It felt really good to do weights last night.

Hey! It was a tough week. I took a mini vacation from work and went to Boston for a couple days. Had a great time, But I ate like crap. Im back on track now. One thing I noticed is how easy it is to gain weight. I need to get on a routine and stick to it. I always do great for a week or 2 then go off then back on. I need to stick to it this time. Happy Monday! I had a good weekend. I've been really watching what i'm eating and working out. I'm continuing to do the exercise bike, but I think tonight i'm going to try to jog on the treadmill. Ugh its saturday and i'm working. Luckily i only work saturday's for another month or so and then back to doing one saturday every 12 weeks. I worked out again last night! That was my fifth day in a row. I know some people take a day or 2 off from working out, but if I do that I have a feeling i'll stop working out which is why I want to work out every day. That way I will stick to this. My trainer/friend Ally came over last night. She gave me some new exercises with weights to do. Thanks Ally for that. It feels good to finally be back in a groove with working out. My eating has been better to. I still feel like I need a fill, but only maybe .1-.25 cc and I think that will do the trick, because last time I was overfilled. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Friday! Anyone have any plans for the weekend??? For me i'm gonna work out! I've been sticking to working out all week and it feels good. I'm eating good too. I'm hoping the weight will start falling off soon. I hate how it takes longer to take it off. I've mainly been doing the exercise bike. I did some weights on wed and will do some tonight. I did 45 min on the exercise bike on wed which for me is really good. Maybe i'll try the treadmill tonight. It just seems like i burn more calories on the exercise bike. Does that make since? I've been trying for lunch to stick to the smart ones and lean cuisine and i've noticed that they have a lot of sodium so i've also been drinking a ton of water. I feel like since surgery i've been such a slacker. I've been eating the wrong food and not sticking to exercising, which i need to do to get healthier and weight less. This is all changing today. Starting today I'm sticking to it. I"m going to get in a great workout this evening and start eating better. I need to change for the better. This is a lifestyle change. I'm hoping when i go back to the Dr's in may to get another fill. 6cc was to much and 5.5 doesn't seem like enough so i'm hoping for just a little pinch or 2 more. So its monday! I'm excited for this day to be over. I'm going to go home and workout for awhile and do some crunches as well as work with some weights. How is everones day going? So i've really got back on the wagon and been jumpstarted i lost about 7 pounds or so in a week -week and a half. I'm doing cardio 7 days a week. I've also been eating more organic food and i'm really excited to shed all this excess weight as i still want to lose around 100 pounds. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Hey! so now i'm completely motivated to do this and stick to the plan. I'm happy and now i have got into a rhythm for exercise and do it daily. Once I get on the machine it feels good when i get off. Do you think its good to only weight yourself once a week? the reason why i say this is i'm going to weigh myself on tuesdays because that is the day of the biggest loser so we will see how the progress is.

I finally have gotten back into it of diet and exercise. I will not let myself get off of what i'm doing this time. I want the band to help me but i must help myself. I started eating better and exercising regularly a few days ago. I need to stick to this and i'm excited to lose more weight and do better. i'm trying also to eat more organic food.
